My favorite traditional seasonal foods is radish cake, which can steam, fry, with XO sauce. So many cooking method can make it more tasty.

My favorite seasonal food is chirashi sushi, which is eaten the Hinamatsuri. A lot of seafood is on it, and the colors are beautiful, so I feel happy when I eat it!

In Chile we celebrate our National Day with Fondas, which are places that sell traditional foods and drinks, such as empanadas and mote con huesillo. Fondas are also places for Cueca, our national dance, which is coreographed, done in pairs, and is tons of fun.

From what we found on the internet, mote con huesillo seems to be a great match on a hot sunny day. I would love to go to Chile on its National Day, so many yummy foods to try!

Thanks to both of you for all the pictures. I must agree that on a hot summer day we need to have shaved ice. But you know, that’s one huge portion of shaved ice! I see only one spoon but is it really just for one person? Makes me worry if you were able to finish it up.
