With respect to my family, the gift I will always remember is a pair of anime-themed t-shirts that my friends got me for my birthday back in high school. It was the first time I had any sort of birthday celebration with friends, so I will always remember it.

I don’t know if it can be considered a gift, but in my school it’s a tradition that the last day before graduation we wrote farewell messages on each others’ uniform shirts. Reading my old classmates messages is uplifting when things don’t seem to be going right.

When I retired from club activities in high school, I received 2L of Coca-Cola from a junior. When I was drinking at home thinking, “Why cola?”, a message appeared on a plastic bottle written in black pen. I was very moved by the thoughtful message and surprise.
